Key Responsibilities:
- Assist skilled tradespeople (e.g., carpenters, electricians, plumbers) with daily tasks and projects.
- Load and unload construction materials and equipment.
- Help maintain a clean and organized job site by removing debris and ensuring tools are in order.
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a secure working environment.
- Operate basic hand tools and power tools under supervision.
- Assist in measuring, cutting, and assembling materials as directed.
- Support the installation of structures, fixtures, and systems as needed.
- Communicate effectively with team members to facilitate smooth workflow.
- Report any safety hazards or equipment issues to the supervisor.
Tasks:
- Load, unload, and transport construction materials.
- Clean and pile salvaged materials.
- Address chemical spills and other contaminants.
- Remove rubble and debris from construction sites.
- Tend to machines or equipment used in construction.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in construction or related fields is a plus.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks.
- Familiarity with hand tools and basic construction equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and eagerness to learn.
- Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
- Commitment to safety and adherence to established procedures.
