Key Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
  • Assist with mobility and transfers, ensuring safety and comfort.
  • Administer medications as prescribed and monitor health conditions.
  • Prepare meals according to dietary needs and preferences.
  • Assist with household tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and shopping.
  • Support participation in recreational and social activities.
  • Maintain clear communication with family members and healthcare providers.
  • Document daily activities, changes in health, and any incidents.
  • Foster a respectful and supportive relationship with the client.
  • Purchase vitamins and supplements as needed.

Tasks

  • Administer bedside and personal care.
  • Assist clients with bathing and personal hygiene.
  • Facilitate regular exercise, such as walking.
  • Change non-sterile dressings.
  • Feed or assist in feeding clients.
  • Launder clothing and household linens.
  • Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties.
  • Shop for food and household supplies.
  • Prepare and serve nutritious meals.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a caregiver, especially with individuals with disabilities.
  • CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
  • Knowledge of disability-related issues and care techniques.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help others.
  • Ability to handle physical demands, including lifting and assisting with mobility.

Working Conditions
