Key Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to establish wiring layouts.
- Install, repair, and maintain electrical wiring systems, outlets, circuit breakers, and lighting fixtures.
- Ensure all electrical work adheres to local and national electrical codes and safety standards.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical issues, providing effective solutions.
- Conduct regular inspections of electrical systems to identify potential hazards.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople and contractors to coordinate electrical work with construction or renovation activities.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, including service reports and compliance documentation.
- Keep tools and equipment in good condition and follow safety protocols at all times.
- Deliver excellent customer service by clearly communicating with clients about electrical systems and recommendations.
Tasks:
- Install underground wiring and cables.
- Splice, join, and connect wires.
- Test and measure voltage, loads, ground faults, and circuit integrity.
- Troubleshoot and isolate faults.
- Install surface-mounted and overhead cables.
- Set up power generation, standby power systems, and power conditioning systems.
- Renovate electrical systems in residential and commercial buildings.
- Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an electrical apprenticeship program is preferred.
- Valid electrician’s license or certification as required by local regulations.
- Proven experience as a wiring electrician, with a strong understanding of electrical systems.
- Knowledge of electrical codes, regulations, and safety practices.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical stamina and capability to perform manual labor in various environments.
Working Conditions:
